The Strong Survival Instinct of Sentient Pet Horses

summary:
Neglected Pet horses feed themselves with internet food deliveries

I suddenly recall that i have three pet horses locked away in a barn/stable and two weeks have passed since i last tended to them (having somehow forgotten my duties). Before I go to check on them, I am struck by a debilitating fear that these magnificent creatures will have perished. For courage, I ask two of my casual friends (undefined) to come along, imagining the worst case scenario where I might have to transport their carcasses out of their deathbed stable...

But when i go there, i am surprised to see that they are all fine and very much alive. There is a baby horse, an adult horse, oddly, a stick figure horse which looks like a flat cartoon. In fact, they are perfectly articulate and they inform me that they ordered food on the internet and thus were never in any danger of starving as they dined on their internet purchases.

I am embarrassed for not realising that they were such intelligent and sensitive creatures - so smart and funny. To think i had thought of them as brutish, witless horses who could not take care of themselves! As i leave the compound, i resolve privately to visit them much more frequently.
